INTRODUCING…Mr. Content, Kidnefu & Jay Snazz…They are WRAP!!!

Coming straight out of Benoni, WRAP is a progressive alternative hip hop and rap music group which consists of lead vocalist/rapper Mr Content (Zama Nzama), lyricist/rapper Kidnefu a.k.a Mr KID Kooler In-Depth (Senzo Mabena) and music producer JaySnazz. The WRAP music trio combines elements of hip hop, rap and live progressive rock with cleverly constructed song pieces, to bring about a sound like none other. Although their music is influenced by artists such as Kid Cudi, MGMT, Wale, Wiz Khalifa and Daft Punk to name a few, WRAP’s music sounds nothing like that of the very individuals which inspire them. Their form of music is alternative in nature, different, fresh and it consists of borrowed elements from rock and hip hop cultures.

The crew will be hitting the road in March 2011 in the form of a club tour coined as “Let’s WRAP It Up”. The Let’s WRAP it Up Club Tour” has been initiated to introduce and expose people to WRAP’s music. The few individuals that have heard WRAP’s music say the group is definitely going to be one of South Africa’s greatest music exports to the rest of the world as soon as people catch on to their sound and begin to embrace their music. To kick start WRAP’s official introduction to the South African music industry, WRAP has put out a rough cut edit of one of its singles as a free download. This one will definitely get you dancing…CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE “FLYING JETS” Single!

"You Will Never Receive If You Don't Give"

…From the dusty streets of Mthatha in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, comes a very talented young man with a unique yet distinct style of music which he refers to as “Freaky Soul” – the next level of deep and tribal house music.

The man in question is Mpendulo Calaza; seasoned music producer, remixer and house music DJ known as Mpeshnyk in the underground club scene since 2007. Over the years Mpeshnyk has been listening to different genres of house music in search of his own unique style of production. The pursuit for the trademark Mpeshnyk sound resulted in what will now be known as “Freaky Soul” a blended rooted sound which is fresh and raw at the same time, very soulful, percussive and yet South African by origin with international appeal.

With the start of the New Year (2011), Mpeshnyk feels it is now time to share his music with the world by releasing two bootleg remix EP’S: DJ Funda Paul - Brand Nu Day and Nothing by Jill Scott. These remixes  are only just an introduction of Mpeshnyk – Great things lie ahead. Enjoy!
